BUTTONHOLE BAND (RIGHT FRONT)
The patterned (“Old Shale”) band is worked separately and, upon completion, is joined to R Front by way of a 3-needle bind o .
PREPARE RIGHT FRONT
With circular needle one size smaller than Gauge Needle (sugg. US 6/4mm), RS of Right Front facing, and beginning at lower edge, pick up and knit 116 (116, 120, 120, 124, 124, 128) stitches evenly spaced up Right Front. Cut yarn, leaving a 6" tail.
Slip stitches onto smallest circular needle (sugg. US 5/3.75 mm) to be held for Three-Needle Bind-o .
PATTERNED BAND
Using circular needle one size smaller than Gauge Needle (sugg. US 6/4mm), cast on 116 (116, 120, 120, 124, 124, 128) stitches.
Knit 3 rows, creating 2 ridges of Garter Stitc
