I went to my local dealer and had a demo of this machine. It does gorgeous stitches. I felt it was a little more complicated than I wanted. Although the lady demoing it had put together a book with the various stitches, she didn't know the machine very well and had a hard time with the switch overs. If the demo had gone smoothly, I probably would have talked myself into buying it. Instead, I bought the 1110dx and ordered the coverpro 1000.
One thing I really liked about the 1200D was that you could do a double sided coverstitch with just a switch of a lever. How cool is that? And the five thread feature would eliminate the need for the sewing machine in a lot of areas. The price of the 1200D was about $1800. I got the two other machines for under $1200 on sale.
